"CACHICAMO LATIN HARP" is an exuberant group, who plays Latino American music with exciting instruments which you may have never seen before, such as the Colombian Harp and the Cuatro Llanero (meaning four strings from the plains). Accompanied by Double bass, vocals, and percussion instruments such as the Bongoes, Congas, Maracas & Clave. Together, they have a great visual appeal and lend an air of relaxed, refined and cheerful rhythms.

Their performances are colourful and joyful with a very danceable acoustic salsa feel.

  Sandra Real: Harpist
Winner of “The Gold Lira” awarded to her by The Association of Authors and Compositions of Colombia “SAYCO” in 1989 Sandra is one of the most successful harpists in Colombia . She has introduced her own style, introduced new ways of making music with this melodic instrument. Sandra and her harp have the one soul! Her music and style is incomparable.
     
  Marina Varney: Vocalist, Hand Percussion
Born in Colombia , South America, Marina is a current student at Queensland Conservatorium. Her experience singing a variety of Latin styles, ranging from folk music to Tango and Flamenco, brings an authentic and unique experience to the performance of all Latin music of which she is a world class exponent.
     
  Elkin Bernal: Cuatro Llanero, Percussion
Interested in the percussion instruments, Elkin began his artistic profession playing congas and bongos as a member of the "Colombia Chirimia y Tambores” for nearly 6 years. He has been influenced by the Caribbean rhythms from the coast of Colombia . He is a multifaceted musician. After his studies of percussion in Colombia , he started to learn “Cuatro”, which complemented his musical knowledge. His style is possibly determined by one word “Salsa”. He is a singer of “Chilli con Salsa” The 12 pieces salsa band in Brisbane .
     
  John Varney: Double Bass, Bass Guitar
A graduate of St.Cecilia Conservatorium (Italy), PhD in Colombian music as well as multi-instrumentalist and experienced in all varieties of music, John's passion for Latin music has given him complete freedom to create and innovate with Latin rhythms for over than a decade. He is musical director of La Gran Salsa and Colombia Linda and lecturer at Queensland Conservatorium.
